IT IS AGAINST THE LAW for a counselor to share what is discussed behind closed doors in a counseling session.  This is what you can expect from me:

I will NOT even share that you are a client, unless you sign a release.

I will NOT share information with school teachers, church members, doctors,  personal friends or family unless you sign a release of information.

(If you choose to sign a release of information, you can also choose specifically what information is shared.)

I am honored and humbled when others trust me enough to share vulnerable feelings.  In return, I obey the law and keep all counseling disclosures confidential.
